Make a difference for homeless pets while shopping at Ward Warehouse. Almost every retailer will be donating a portion of their July sales to Friends for Life to be used towards their medical expenses.
Spay/Neuter Clinic July 19: Friends for Life will host a no cost or donation only spay/neuter clinic at their shelter located at 83-592 Farrington Highway. Those interested must call (808) 696-3777 to register and will receive instructions for post-op care.
I visited friends for life last week and dropped off the donations so many clients and friends gave me. The shelter was so pleased to receive the items and I was just as happy to have had the opportunity to donate.
Friends for Life is atrue no-kill shelter, surviving with very few resources, in hopes of finding homes for some of the most deserving dogs I have ever met.
On an ongoing basis, I will collect items I know will be of great use to Friends of Life. Items such as, towels, blankets, bowls and crates. I hope to get there once a month to drop off donations. If you have donations, I can personally pick them up from you.

Greta is a four year old, spayed Staffordishire mix. She was found on Kili Road in Waianae, supporting herself and her three pups by eating trash and hunting. Greta gives kisses non-stop and lives for Beggin Strips. A mom like her deserves some tlc herself.
Sam is a three year old, neutered Sheltie mix. Because of his long hair, he would need consistent grooming. In exchange for this beauty regimin, he will give the loyal affection that this breed is known for. He is super smart and wants nothing more than to be by an owners side.
Peanut is a male, Boxer/Shepard mix. He is only 6 months old and and has not yet been neutered. He is a typical puppy in that he is into everything and has boundless energy. As his personality begins to develop, it seems obvious that he will be a great addition into any family.
Banshee is a 3 year old, spayed Shepard mix. She got her name when it became apparent that she is the dog equivalent of an alarm system. She lets everyone know when someone new is on the property. In addition to being a great security system, she is super sweet and loves her tummy rubs.
Trixie is a spayed, minpin mix in her senior years. She twirls, spins dances and prances and prefers to be the lap dog, she once was in her former family. She is house trained and leash trained but is so smart that her hearing is somewhat “selective” when it comes to both issues. She deserves her senior years to be in the comfort of a family who will appreciate her wisdom.
Brutus is a 3 year old, neutered Staffordshire mix. Because he is a bit pushy around small dogs and timid people, he needs an owner with a firm hand who can give him the consistency that he has always wanted. One on one, Brutus is as loyal as you can get. He dreams of having an owner, who wants nothing else than to be his best friend so he can return the favor.
Lord Greystoke is a male Chihuahua mix. He came to Friends for Life when his family moved and left him behind. He is reserved when first meeting people and needs just a tiny bit of time to get to know you. For someone who doesn’t take this personally, a great, playful friend awaits you. He deserves a family that knows still waters run deep.
Romeo is a five year old male Spitz. He, like many other unlucky dogs, was given up when his family left him behind. Romeo is a healthy dog who has a few behavioral issues. His issues are not unique for a breed that demands consistency and loyalty. He looks forward to the time when he has an owner who will give him a bit of patience, in return this teddy bear will provide years of good snuggling.
